Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SignRoad mobile application ("App") operated by SignRoad ("we," "our," or "us").

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

SignRoad is a daily contemplative practice application. The App provides: - Daily sign assignments for you to notice in your environment - Receipt generation as a record of your observations - Letter writing to your future self - Guided breathing exercises - A companion system for your practice

2. Accounts

• You must create an account to use SignRoad.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to: - Use the App for any illegal purpose - Attempt to access other users' accounts or data - Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App - Use automated systems to access the App (bots, scrapers) - Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities - Impersonate another person or entity

4. Content

Your Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (observations, letters, notes).
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to you within the App.
• We do not claim ownership of your content.
• We do not use your content for training AI models or any purpose beyond providing the service to you.

Our Content

• The App's design, sign taxonomy, whisper texts, receipt templates, and companion characters are our intellectual property.
• You may share receipt images publicly (this is an intended feature), but you may not reproduce or redistribute the underlying templates or design system.

5. Premium and Purchases

• SignRoad offers optional premium features via in-app purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not handle payment information directly.
• Refunds are handled by the respective platform (Apple/Google) per their policies.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

Sparks

• Sparks are consumable in-app currency used for premium actions.
• Sparks have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded.
• Unused sparks remain in your account indefinitely while your account is active.

6. Availability

• We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
• We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

7. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support@signroad.com.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

• THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
• SignRoad is NOT a medical, therapeutic, or clinical tool. See our Medical Disclaimer for details.
• We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the App.
• The sign taxonomy is curated for contemplative practice, not predictive or divinatory purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SignRoad and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
