Terms of Service

Effective date: April 20, 2026

Plain English, first

This page is the contract between you and us when you use Signroad. We have tried to keep it short. The summary below is not legal text — it is a plain-English explanation so you know what you are agreeing to before you scroll through the legal wording.

If any of the points above surprise you, read the full text. If the full text contradicts the summary, the full text wins — but we try not to let that happen.

1. Who we are

Signroad is operated by SignRoad ("Signroad", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in State of Wyoming, United States. Our registered address is 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Suite 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. You can reach us at support@signroad.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating a Signroad account, or by using any Signroad service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the service. If you are using Signroad on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Signroad on your own. If your jurisdiction sets a higher minimum digital-consent age, that age applies. Signroad is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn we have done so, we delete the account and the data.

If you are between the minimum age and the age of majority in your country, you should use Signroad only with a parent or guardian's permission.

4. Your account

5. Your content

"Your Content" means everything you put into Signroad: signs you log, goals you write, letters to your future self, reflections, profile information, and anything else you create.

6. Our content

Signroad's code, designs, brand, sign catalog, Whisper templates, and other materials that we create are ours (or licensed to us by their authors). You may not copy, redistribute, or build a competing product from them except as the license permits. Specific exceptions — like the legal documents in this folder, which are CC-BY-SA — are called out in the file that contains them.

7. What you may not do

You may not use Signroad to:

If you see content that breaks these rules, email support@signroad.com. We will act on it.

8. Subscriptions and payments

9. Third-party services

Signroad relies on a small number of third parties to run (auth, payments, error reporting, email, hosting). They are listed in the Privacy Policy. Your use of a third-party service through Signroad is also subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy.

10. Termination by you

You can close your Signroad account at any time from Profile → Privacy → Delete my account. Deletion is a two-step confirmation: we show you what will be deleted, and we ask you to re-enter your password. After you confirm, the account is marked for deletion and your data stops being served to the app. Your data is permanently removed 30 days later. During those 30 days you can email support@signroad.com to cancel the deletion.

11. Termination by us

We may suspend or close an account if:

If we close an account for reasons other than billing or abuse, we refund any prepaid portion of a paid plan that has not been used.

12. Disclaimers

Signroad is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or fit for every purpose you might have in mind. We do not provide medical, mental-health, financial, or legal advice, and nothing in the app is a substitute for a qualified professional.

If you are in crisis, please contact a local crisis line or emergency service — not Signroad.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SignRoad is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 100.

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death, personal injury, or anything else that cannot legally be limited.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SignRoad and its staff from any claim brought by a third party that arises out of your use of the service in violation of these terms. This does not apply to consumers acting outside of a trade or business, to the extent local law protects them.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through support will be resolved by confidential, binding arbitration in Sheridan County, Wyoming, United States, one arbitrator, under the then-current rules of the arbitration provider — except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court for a matter that qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where mandatory consumer-protection law applies, this clause does not override your right to bring proceedings in your local court under the law of your residence.

16. Changes to these terms

We update these terms from time to time. If the change is material — meaning it affects your rights in a real way — we email the address on your account at least 30 days before it takes effect and post a notice in-app. If you do not agree to the new version, close your account before the effective date. Continuing to use Signroad after the effective date counts as accepting the new version.
