Signs are attention, not magic
A sign is anything that reminds you your desire is possible. It becomes meaningful when you assign meaning to it before you see it. The most useful signs are behavioral, not symbolic.
Internal signs
- You no longer feel desperate about the outcome.
- You can imagine the desire without anxiety.
- You find yourself acting “as if” before thinking.
- Doubt still appears, but it does not stop you.
External signs
- Opportunities show up that you would have missed before.
- People mention the topic unprompted.
- Small pieces of the goal start arriving out of order.
- Obstacles dissolve when you finally move toward them.
The real sign
The strongest sign is that you keep showing up for the practice even when nothing dramatic has happened.
