How to soften it
- Lower the dose. A 30-second practice beats a 30-minute forced session.
- Use ladder statements. Start with “I am open to…” and upgrade as it feels safe.
- Pair it with something pleasant. Do your practice with tea, music, or sunlight.
- Release the outcome. Focus on the felt sense, not the date of arrival.
When forcing is a signal
